Dear [recipient's name]:

Thank you for taking the time to review my application for the rental apartment at 1289 S. Main Street. I understand that my application was not approved. However, I would like to kindly ask you to reconsider this decision.

Although I do not have an extensive rental history, and I understand this was a major factor in my application not being approved, the rental history that I do have is excellent. I would also be happy to provide you with additional references, if that would help my application. As I mentioned when I applied, I would also be willing to provide an additional security deposit, if that would allow my application to be approved.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide further information or answer any questions you might have. Thank you for considering this appeal, and I look forward to receiving a favorable response from you soon.
