Dear [recipient's name]:

Thank you for your letter dated February 15, 2011, which stated that your company had not approved my application for a credit card. I understand that this denial was based partly on my income and lack of credit history. However, I would like to ask that you reconsider this decision, as my income has changed since I applied for a credit card.

My income has increased by about 50% since I applied for the credit card, as a result of me changing jobs and being hired for a position with a new employer. I would be happy to provide you with any required proof of income, so please let me know what information you require. Thank you in advance for your time and for considering my appeal. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
