Dear [Ms./Mrs./Mr. Last name],

Since 2008, I have wanted to write a book about the rewards, challenges and pitfalls of working with people whose national and cultural identification differs from your own.

I have recently completed writing an outline of the book and am wondering if the publishing house you represent would be interested in taking a book of this sort to market.

My own informal research tells me there is no other book that takes the angle that I find my book has taken.

The book will target white-collar workers from the English-speaking world relocating to the Middle East markets, especially the Gulf Cooperation Council nations of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The book idea was inspired by my own experiences as a petroleum engineer over 22 years in Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah.

I have attached a 22-page extract from what will eventually become one of my book's last chapters and would very much like to know whether or not a book of this sort can be taken to market by your publishing house.

I have also attached a table of contents upon which I have based the direction my book has taken.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
