Introduction Letter from Teacher to Parent

Dear Parent,

I am writing to let you know that I will be your child's new math teacher from next week.

I am a former student of St. Joseph's, and it is exciting to come back to my alma mater as a teacher.

My predecessor, Mr. Full name, as you may already know, will step down next month after serving the school for well over three decades.

I do not have the same hands-on experience that Mr. Last name has but I believe my predecessor and I share the same passion for the subject.

On the academic front, I have a doctorate in applied mathematics from Stanford. I am also a published author and have penned four sci-fi novels and three books dealing with the subject I teach for a living.

I have always practiced an open-door policy with both my students and their parents, and I intend to continue doing so at St. Joseph's.

The headteacher has told me that you are an active PTA member and a creative genius to boot!

I am sincerely looking forward to meeting with you soon and discussing any suggestions you may have regarding your child's academic performance.

Sincerely,
