Goodbye Letter to Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,

Thanks for having [Names of the persons who accompanied you] and me over for Thanksgiving.

Almost everyone says they can't remember the last time they had so much fun.

And they want me to thank you once again for having them over.

So, 'Thank you'!

Visiting with you made me realize I miss you and home more than I think I do.

Can I move back home? I can live in the basement and I promise I won't ever come out to embarrass you in front of the guests!

Sorry. Couldn't help myself there!

Anyway, I have some great news to share with you. I made VP, World Service Servicing Capabilities.

I hope you are as happy as I am about my getting promoted.

You know what has made me really happy? Learning that dad's prostate cancer prognosis was a false alarm. I am sure glad the doctor thinks he is biologically 7 seven years younger than his chronological age and he is unlikely to face any prostate problems in his lifetime! I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear dad's OK.

Gotta go.

Goodbye mom. Goodbye dad.

I love you. And I'll miss you.

Take care. I'm just a call away if you ever need me.

P.S. Mom, [Name] wants your turkey recipe. She couldn't stop talking about the turkey on our way back! Can you please send it to over to me? Thanks!
